What is the Community Health Worker (CHW) program?

Training opportunities include upskilling workshops, core competency training for beginners, and advanced core competency training for those with one year or more of experience. The program offers supportive services like transportation, childcare, and job placement assistance.

What does Career ConneCT offer?
Career ConneCT is designed for the unemployed or underemployed, providing no-cost training programs in various healthcare fields such as CNA, EMT, Pharmacy Tech, Medical Assisting, Administrative Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, and more. The program offers industry-standard certifications in as little as 5-12 weeks and provides supportive services like stipends, uniforms, transportation assistance, immunizations, licensing fees, and more.

How can I enroll in Career ConneCT programs?
To get started with Career ConneCT, please follow the below steps:
Step A: Register on the Career Connect portal using this link – Career ConneCT (futurefit.ai)
Step B: Take the initial assessment (the Skills Inventory) through the portal.
Step C: Complete your CTHires registration by using the link below. https://www.cthires.com/vosnet/loginintro.aspx
Upon completion of all steps, please email [email protected] and inform them that you have completed Career Connect registration steps and would like more information.
What is the Nursing Careers Pathway (NCP) program?
NCP is a statewide program led by The WorkPlace in collaboration with Capital Workforce Partners. It helps individuals advance in the nursing field by providing support such as mentoring, tuition assistance, transportation, and job placement assistance. The program is designed for individuals starting as CNAs, medical assistants (MA), EMTs, or LPNs, leading to training in either Licensed Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing.
What are the basic eligibility requirements for the Nursing Careers Pathway (NCP) program?
• State of CT resident
• Already have licensure as a CNA, EMT, medical assistant (MA), or LPN
• Accepted into an accredited LPN or associate or bachelor’s degree-level program (only certain educational providers are eligible)
